It all started with Terry & Sherry’s doggy friends in the neighborhood—our very first taste-testers! They absolutely devoured our homemade treats, and before I knew it, I became that aunt in the doggy wonderland, never showing up without yummies. That’s when I realized we had something special.
As word spread, our dog treats started reaching more pet parents across Hyderabad. Since we made them fresh, delivery was quick, and everything was going smoothly. But as orders started pouring in from outside Hyderabad, we hit a challenge—our treats had a shelf life of just a week, and longer transit times made delivery unfeasible.
So, I put on my thinking cap. Through research, experimentation, and plenty of trial and error, I crafted an all-natural recipe that stayed fresh for months at room temperature—without preservatives or artificial ingredients. Success! We hit the bullseye.

But Skylish was built on quality, transparency, and a promise to bring only the best to your pups. That came at a price. While our customers were willing to pay a premium, we kept our margins low to make sure Skylish remained accessible. To stay competitive, we even gave back most of our margins as discounts—because happy, returning customers mattered more to us than big profits.
The downside? Breaking even, let alone making a profit, became one of our biggest challenges. Despite careful cost management, offering enough margins for retail partners or pet store distributors simply wasn’t sustainable.
Another hesitation in going the retail route was our unwavering commitment to freshness. Even though our treats are shelf-stable, we love knowing that when they reach your pup, they’re as fresh as possible—something we can control better with direct deliveries.
That said, partnering with retail stores is on our agenda. We just need to find the right balance—one where both Skylish and our retail partners thrive without compromising our core values.
Until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best—bringing fresh dog food & high-quality treats straight to your pup’s bowl!
