Whiskey, a goofy golden retriever has been on Skylish Fresh Meals ever since his family moved from Delhi to Hyderabad about 6 months ago. They first heard of us through our dear friends at Pawfect Chefs, who pour passion and quality into every meal they create for pooches in Delhi.
A couple of months back, Priya had to travel with her entire family and left Whiskey at a boarding. While he made the most of his stay , with open spaces to run around, long walks, and even pool access , he came back home 3 kgs lighter in just 10 days. Naturally, Priya was worried, especially since she was set to travel again in just 3 weeks, this time taking Whiskey along for a month.
That’s when I got a concerned message from her “Can we get his weight back up before the trip?”
But nope, it wasn’t as simple as just adding an extra pack to his diet. I wanted to make sure we did this right , assessing his energy and nutrition requirements, building a proper weight-gain program, and not just going by rough estimates. Target: 3 weeks.
We tweaked his meal plan, added the right balance, and suggested some routine veterinarian check-ins. Whiskey, of course, happily relished his upgraded meals (especially the extra packs in his daily routine!).
As the 3-week mark came closer, I waited for Priya’s update , and her message of joy when Whiskey had regained his original weight made my day.
That moment had me smiling with gratitude. It’s a reminder of why I do what I do: helping pet parents do it the right way, and being trusted with decisions for their precious furries.
